here we have some mouldings of expressive faces. my plan is to cast them of different flexible materials. even with the moulds itself there are some interesting effects.

i build a marquette to try out some projections of faces on sheets in different distance.

lighting/ face_

I just did some little experiments with a dlp projector. by changing the recording speed of the camera or by having simple movements in front of the projector light rgb becomes visible. concerning my project at artech lab i made some tests with projections on the face.

my basic idea for the artech lab is to work with emotions. i want to encourage people to experience their own face expression. we are going to create an interactive maschine to detect face expressions which shall be visualized by simultaneous projections on the face. the user will consciously perceive the effects of his expressions.

vacation is over. the fourth year just started, my last year at aki! i am quite motivated to start to develop my stuff to somethin concrete now. summer helped to reflect on the intense last semester in central and eastern europe. recently collages are fascinating me the most. by fragmentating the body it is possible to distance from the actual expression of each joint in order to set new emphasis. but actually it is just a form of redigesting all the crap we can see day in, day out...
